·         du LaLiga HPC take the Lead in U18 & U16 Categories, while City FC Maintain Lead in U14



12 March 2018, Dubai – UAE – With temperatures soaring and teams under pressure to win matches with as many goals as possible to take a goal-difference lead, teams felt the heat on the pitches of the UAE FAAL this week.

Teams in the U16 category played a relentless game with all teams raising their performance and competing in their best shape yet.  In Abu Dhabi ZSC Academy hosted City FC Red in the match of the week.  City FC came on strong and full of energy to dominate possession in the first half.  The boys in red played a tactical game with shot on goal after shot on goal but were only able to convert one into a goal 12 minutes into the match as Sami Smayra skillfully found the back of the net and held the 1-0 lead into halftime.  ZSC Academy, determined to defend their honor on their home ground came back strong in the second half and equalized at 56 minutes. City FC however, kept the pressure on and moments later took the lead again.  With tensions mounting as the game neared its end, it was an untimely tackle by City FC in the box that led to ZSC Academy being awarded a penalty which they powered into the back of the net to end the game at 2-2. 

In Dubai in the other U16 matches this week City FC White met LaLiga Academy in another tough match with LaLiga Academy’s Frederico Assumpcao opening the score line 23 minutes into the match, but not able to keep the lead and ending the match on a 2-2 tie.  du LaLiga HPC hosted LaLiga Academy Saturday evening and breezed through the match playing a surgical game, with quick passes and clean finishes, taking the match at a dizzying 9 goals to 1 to take the top of the league table this week.

In the U18 category 3 matches were hosted in Abu Dhabi this week.  ZSC Academy hosted Regional Academy in a heated match that saw Regional taking the win 2-0.  Al Jazira Club hosted LaLiga Academy and dominated the match from start to end taking the win 5-0.  While du LaLiga HPC overwhelmed the boys from EFF and took the win 12-0.

In the U14 category this week Al Jazira hosted City FC in a game of skill and determination.  City FC scored an early goal 4 minutes into the match and continued to frustrate Al Jazira to final whistle taking the match 2-0.  Asateer met LaLiga Academy and took their first win of the season with a 4-1 victory, while du LaLiga HPC dominated the youngsters from ESM and earned their 3 points this week.
